Mandawa:- The medieval Fort of Mandawa gradually rises on the horizon like a mirage. A breathtaking view of the town can be seen from the terrace of Castle Mandawa. Precious collection of arms with jade handles, traditional ceremonial costumes can be seen at the Museum at the Castle. The havelies worth a visit are Chokhani, Saraf, Goenka and Ladia in this town. Built in 1775 by Thakur Nawal Singh, descendant of Rao Shekhaji, who also founded the city of Nawalgarh.  The Castle, now a 51 rooms hotel has no two rooms alike. It also houses an interesting collection of paintings, jade, costumes and antiques. The courtyard and the terrace come to live during evenings with candle-lit dinners and fire-dances during the season. A two hundred and forty year old fortess, that has been converted by the family into a fine example of traditional hospitality.

Bikaner:- Bikaner, the royal fortified city, with a timeless appeal in the North State of Rajasthan, retains the medieval splendour that pervades the city's lifestyle. More popularly called the camel country, the city is renowned for the best riding camels in the world. This city stands on a slightly raised ground and is circumscribed by a seven-km long embattled wall with five gates. The magnificent forts and palaces, in reddish-pink sandstone created with delicacy, bear testimony to its rich historical and architectural legacy. Undulating lanes, colourful bazaars and bright and cheerful folks make the visit Bikaner an interesting experience. Visit the Junagarh Fort, built in 1593 AD by Raj Rai Singh, one of the best in Rajasthan. It comprises of 37 palaces with pavilions, mosaic courtyards, carved balconies, kiosks and windows dotted all over the structure. The Shish Mahal, the Grand Durbar Hall, the 17th century Karan Mahal, Anup Mahal and the Phool Mahal bring to life the grandeur of a bygone era. The Fort museum has a rare collection of Sanskrit and Persian manuscripts and miniature painting..

Bikaner


After breakfast at Hotel, you will start the again sightseeing of Bikaner with Travel Packages India representative and he will provide the full information of Royal city of Bikaner

Start with Morning visit Deshnok Temple:- The Karni Mata temple is situated 30 kilometers away from city of Bikaner, is dedicated to an early fifteenth century mystic who was considered to be a reincarnation of goddess Durga.The specialty of the temple is that it is inhabited by legions of brown rats which scurry around the complex without any fear. The rats are believed to be respositories of the souls of dead charans.Devotees offer milk, grains and sweets to these rats during the time to aarti. There are so many rats on the floor that people have to watch where they step. Sighting a white mouse (Kaba in local language) is considered to be auspicious. It is believed that the Maharaja of Bikaner had a vision in which the goddess asked him to protect the rats and for this reason, there is bronze wiremesh across the temple.

Bikaner's ruler Ganga Singh had the who built the whole temple in marble. The domes of the temple are made of silver and gold. The manadap and the panels above the image are also golden. Devotees place offerings in silver and gold when their prayers are answered.

Jaisalmer:- Rising from the heart of the Thar Desert like a golden mirage is the city of Jaisalmer. A commanding fort etched in yellow sandstone stands, with its awesome splendor, dominating the amber-hued city.

The city has an interesting legend associated with it, according to which, Lord Krishna-the head of the Yadav Clan, foretold Arjuna that a remote descendent of the Yadav Clan would build his kingdom atop the Trikuta Hill. His prophecy was fulfilled in 1156 AD when Rawal Jaisal, a descendent of the Yadav Clan and a Bhatti Rajput, abandoned his fort at Lodurva and founded a new capital -Jaisalmer, perched on the Trikuta Hill.

Day 06
Jaisalmer


After breakfast at Hotel, you will start the again sightseeing of Golden City with Travel Packages India representative.

The Golden City - Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. Its temple, fort and palaces are all built of yellow stone. The city is a mass of intricately carved buildings, facades and elaborate balconies. Visit the Jaisalmer Fort - The oldest living Fort in the world. (This is the highlight of the tour). See the Patwon-Ki-Havelies, Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli and Gandhi Sagar Tank. Also visit Barabagh Hill.

In the afternoon, proceed to the SAM SAND DUNES for visiting the typical Rajasthani Desert Village. View the sunset from the dunes, as the sky is set on fire. Return to the village for dinner amidst Rajasthani musicians playing haunting tunes.

Jodhpur:- Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. Once the capital of the Marwar state, it was founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha-chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendants of Rama - the epic hero of the Ramayana. The massive 15th century AD Mehrangarh Fort looms on the top of a rocky hill, soaring 125 Mts. Above the plains. The city is encompassed by a high wall -10 km long with 8 gates and innumerable bastions.

Also visiting the museum of UMAID BHAWAN PALACE.

In the Afternoon proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.

Jodhpur:- Gateway to the desert beyond, home of the Rathors of Mar war, visit the Mehrangarh Fort, rising up a hilly scarp, built on the advice of a hermit, overlooking the city in the image of a long sentinel. Inside the Fort are a number of palaces added by successive rulers. In this palace you would see different miniature paintings & cradle room. After this you would visit Jaswant Thada Memorial.

Excursion visiting Chittaurgarh fort:- Chittaurgarh Fort, located in the state of Rajasthan was initially built between the 5th and the 8th century by the Mori Rajput ruler, Chitrangad. At that point of time it was named Chitrakot. Later, Sisodia Rajput ruler, Ajai Pal Chauhan made some modifications in it.

Kota:  Kota is a good place to get a taste of the lives and times of the erstwhile royalty. Apart from its majestic forts and palaces, it is Rajasthan's largest industrial town. Situated on the banks of the river Chambal, it is well known for it's famous Kota sarees and also for a miniature school of art which specialized in hunting scenes. It possess some beautiful gardens, and its old palaces house one of the best museums in Rajasthan. To visit various sightseeing spot you can opt for local transport consisting of taxis, auto-rickshaws, tempos, cycle rickshaws.

Excursion visiting Bundi:- Bundi is the undiscovered splendour, 36 Kms from Kota ruled by the Hada Chauhans. First destination is HADOTI. Set in a narrow inclining gorge. The palaces and forts have fairy tale quality about them. Isolated and independent, this picturesque location has much to offer. Rajput architecture shines and in the intricately carved brackets, pillars etc. Interesting places are Diwan-e- aam, Hati Pol, and Naubat Khana.

Ranthambore is a national park and tiger reserve in Rajasthan state of western India. It is located in Sawai Madhopur district of south-eastern Rajasthan, about 130 km from Jaipur, which is also the nearest airport. The nearest town and railway station is at Sawai Madhopur, 11 km away. The park lies at the edge of a plateau, and is bounded to the north by the Banas River and to the south by the Chambal River. There are several lakes in the park. It is named for the historic Ranthambore fortress, which lies within the national park. The park covers an area of 392 km², and is famous for its tiger population, and is one of India's Project Tiger reserves. Other major wild animals include the leopard, dhole, wild pig, sambar`, chital and the gaur.

After breakfast start the visit of Jaipur monuments, Amber Fort to explore is Jaipur City. Built from scratch based on traditional Hindu town planning principles, Jaipur became the new capital of the Kachhawahas in the early eighteenth century. The ride up to Amber can be done on elephant back to see the countryside around Amber. City Palace a delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city.  It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Jantar Mantar is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country.  This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use. Hawa Mahal is the ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Its five-storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.

You will proceed the sightseeing of Agra city with the first attraction The Taj Mahal is best seen at dawn, when the first rays of the sun light up the marble beautifully. Going at dawn is also a good way to beat the heat and the crowds. Apart from the Taj, you should visit Agra Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We also recommend a photo-stop at Emperor Akbar’s mausoleum in Sikandra. Itmadullah's Tomb known as the Baby Taj Mahal and built between 1622-26 Ad by Nur Jahan the wife of Jahangir in memory of her father Ghias-ud-Din-Beg. From Itmadullah’s Tomb – a wonderful view of the River and the public laundry can be seen which is very interesting.
If you have more time in Agra, you can also take you to see the real Agra – its bylanes and bazaars, where under the shadow of the Jama Masjid, there are Hindu temples and donkey-carts and little shops selling everything under the sun. If you go to the bazaars, don’t forget to sample the famous Agra Petha, a pumpkin dessert with sugar syrup and rose water. (It’s up to your wish).

Having breakfast. Our car report to the Agra hotel and provide immediate transfer to Delhi by road – approximately 4 hours driving times. On arrival in Delhi, the guest will be received by Travel Packages India’s representative and provide time for the sightseeing.

We recommend you New Delhi the Qutub Complex, which takes you to the beginnings of Islamic rule in Delhi. From there, you can drive to British Delhi, to visit the monuments now synonymous with independent India – the President’s House, Parliament House and India Gate.

After a lunch break, start with Old Delhi visiting the Red Fort, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1638 of the Mughal Dynasty. Opposite the Red fort is the Jama Masjid, the mosque also built by Shah Jahan and is the largest in India.
